		<description>I&#039;m in the same situation.  It&#039;s not worth the bother.  The score is heavily weighted toward recent activity.  Keep paying in time and the event will become older and nobody will care, even if it there for a while.  If the score has changed a lot, there may be other reasons.</description>

		<description>It&#039;ll stay on your credit record for 7 years, but its not gona make a big difference in your credit score. There&#039;s a couple of options. You can either call your credit card company &amp; ask them to remove the late charge &amp; explain the situation (you might hafta offer them some money, cuz that&#039;s what they are in for), or you can call one of those Lexington Law Places (its a credit repair company), but they charge so much money, and this is probably gona make a 2 point difference in your credit score. I worked for a bank in the finance department, and it doesn&#039;t make a big difference, as long as youre back on time &amp; stay on time with your payments.
