it is very hard for a foreigner to get a credit card if you’re not australian.
you need to have a visa with at least 2 years remaining and earn about AUD $70 000 per year.
i don’t think credit ratings can be tracked internationally, hence the higher standards to get a credit card in the first place.
this info comes from a close friend who is a bank manager in sydney. i also live in sydney.
