Can people steal and use your credit card online? (on websites)?

credit card online
CrackaStacka asked:

For example, if I buy something from a website online, can that website take my credit card number and use it to buy things? (since you don’t need pin numbers online)

    Yes and its real easy.

All someone needs to do is plop a keylogger onto someones system and thats it. That’s why security is a big issue when it comes to viruses and getting identity fraud and that whole mess.

its possible, but if you take precautions, like make sure you are on an encrypted site before giving out the credit card numbers, and even better, you are responsible only for the first 50 dollars if they do steal the card. I have used mine for a couple of years now on the net and never had a problem.
