    Have you tried using your debit card until you get a credit card?
    You will need a checking account (for at least 6 months) to get a credit card.
    Long gone are the days when a bank didn’t care if you could send them payment or not.

    Also if you are under 21 it will be very hard to open up a credit card account.
    New laws require banks to scruitinize applications.
