i have made payment for the credit card people for long time for 12 years and i can not able to close the card and i have a shortage of funds a way to close it . i pay the minimum amount promptly for 12 years some time i used the same card amount for paying the card payment and like wise i maintained for 12 years and now i am blocked with fund suggest any solution

    first u will have to pay all the dues remaining by using that card with interest or so if paid late and once its done totally then u can write an application to the bank that u want to surrender this credit card as u no longer need it in duplicate so that one copy u can have with u for u r record to show them that u have surrendered it and then it will be ok.But u can not run away just by surrendering it u will have to clear all the dues before surrendering it

    First of all Dont close the account because thats bad for your credit, just cut the card up and dont use it…somehow I dont understand your question.. even if you close it out, cut it up . you are still responsible for the payments. Just because you have paid on it for 12 yrs doesnt give you the right to stop paying… You made the purchases so you owe…. I can tell you now only paying min balances wont get you anywhere…. You are paying interest first and balance later and it will just keep going up… Suggest you make larger payments and or get help in refinancing

    it would sugget surrender the card if the bank people act to smart

    call them and complaint that card is stolen

    then they will try to re issue and plz don’t collect the envolop
    (new card ) send it back to the bank

    Closing the account would only hurt you, try to get another one, so that you can distribute the debt, try not to pay minimum, since you have seen that by doing that it wont help you at all. best wishes.
