Credit card processing with a Yahoo store?

credit card processing
jjdubya asked:

I hope to open a jewelry website. What are my choices for Credit card processing.

Which are the easiest (I am an e-commerce newbie) and most reliable? I am looking for a good price but am willing to pay a little more for a better service.
I want to be FULLY featured so I think I can’t just use paypay. Some people don’t have paypal accounts. I should take all major credit cards I think.

Does paypal let you?
What about google checkout?

and if these are fine then why do they have so many “credit card processers” that all the main ecommerce sites use?
mjcalyx: which solution did you choose?

also, can you share your website?

My advise is unless you already have experience in this marketplace don’t bother it’s far to crowded already.
    Easiest/cheapest paypal

Yahoo store offers complete solution. Paypal provides payment processing for most of the credit cards and doesnt cost you anything initially. Google checkout is still in its infancy. I would suggest you paypal since it has the widest appeal and customer base.

If you’re going to use a Yahoo store, they have a merchant you can use for all credit card processing called Paymentech. You can also easily integrate Paypal processing within your Yahoo merchant account. Contact Yahoo for more info. I used to have a Yahoo store, but they were too expensive, so I moved to a cheaper solution.
