I use a credit card because I need to, not that I want to……I have no other choices……I am not able to carry too much cash, because I will be robbed, or my wallet picked….. When travelling, I need my credit card to book and to pay for my plane ticket…..when booking a hotel room, I need my credit card to guarantee my booking….A credit card is a necessity….. so, please don’t punish us…… The banks will gladly issue credit cards free of charge …… What are you going to do with the RM Millions or RM Billions collected, anyway ? Fill someone’s pocket ? Or improve education facilities and/or public transportation systems ?
Credit cards are for our convenience and safety. Why carry so much cash nowadays with crime so rampant and the police not doing a good job in protecting the citizens from snatch thieves. Was a victim twice!
When one travels, the card is needed for checking in at the hotels, so too even to get into a foreign country. The cards show your financial creditability. If you just carry cash into another country, the officers may think you’re going to jump plane and work illegally there (especially UK).
The card is indeed necessary for daily needs. Why is the government making life difficult for the ordinary folks? Explaining that tax reduction from 27% to 26% and paying only RM50 for a credit card tax is a very LAME excuse, Najib! How many citizens actually fall into that tax bracket?
The banks are already taxing the card holders if they are late in their payments. Why is the government helping banks and not the ordinary citizens? Government’s foresight is indeed very myopic. Definitely a 3rd class mentality.

it is very unfair why? because no matter how many credit cards i have is nothin gto do with the GOVT , so why they charge the rakyat money , 11Million credit card times Rm50 equivalent to RM550Million nearly half a billion the GOVT untung, it is unreasonable,

it’s totally unfair. As for this, i’m sure will create the competitiveness among all the banks. They used to give away all the gimmick to beg for the public to use their credit cards and they pray for your late payment or unsettlement credit amount so they can charge for your late charges or interest accordingly and so on. If this RM 50 got to impose, why i need your bank’s credit card ?? Definitely, all the bank will offer you not only to waive off the annual fees but as well this stupid RM50 service charges. Because they need to compete with each other … or else bank credit card sales target gonna drop like hell for sure
