Ask your Union representative. He should know. If he’s never heard of it I would assume it was a scam and stay asway.
No, it’s a scam. If you look closely at the letters they send out, they do actually say in not-so-easy-to-understand terms that you are not getting an actual credit card, like a Visa or Mastercard, etc., instead you receive a credit line that can only be used to buy junk from their own company catalogue – and I do mean junk!
On top of all that, there are many lawsuits against them for the reasons of not making it evident that they are not actually giving you a credit card.
Do yourself a favour Debra, tear that letter up!
