In this day in age, you should worry less about this kind of thing. Your ccard company will usually back you up in the event of fraud.
Why are people here so obsessed with hacking? More people lose information, credit card numbers and passwords because they actually give them away or use something dumb like “password” for their password rather than because they were hacked.
Verisign is very secure. It’s probably one of the best known and secure online systems around.
If you need to ask how hard it is to break into a secure computer system, then you know nothing about it and the chances of you getting caught if you try it is 100%.
You probably stand less chance of losing your credit card number using a Verisign site than if you give it to a store assistant to scan for you.
