The most secure way of storing your clients' payment information would be handwriting the info on carbon copy invoices, and placing them in a filing cabinet. Alphabetize & file by last name or business. You are able to send a receipt (just cut out the CC# in the copy you are mailing out first), and have a copy or two more for your records. This is what my boyfriend does at his work (where I also help out sometimes, filing such information, shipping, and running credit cards), and it's more reliable - not to mention convenient for you.. What happens if your computer gets hacked or a virus? You need to have a non-digital back-up.
