If a credit card account number is changed to protect against fraud, does that affect a credit score?

MsBurgundy asked:

There were no fraudulent charges made, but I changed the number proactively. The credit card company closed the current account and opened a new one for me, and transferred the existing charges. I wonder if it looks like a “new” account, even though the history goes back several years. Does this affect a credit score?
