is it bad for my credit score if a credit card company closes my account for lying on the application?

My credit card company closed my account because they said that the information on my original application for income didn’t match the information that got from the IRS and decided to close my account. I really don’t care because I have pretty good credit and have other credit cards. I was wondering if this would hurt my credit. They said I can continue to pay like I normally would.
