As long as the site encrypts the traffic with security protocol it is safe. The open wireless network leave you susceptible to have your information stolen while in transfer. However, it doesn’t matter if its stolen if the site which you are using your credit card encrypts the traffic. Hope this helps!

If ur sure the website u use them is a trusted one ten its safe,,,Also make sure that u use a site which begins with https with s – for added security and also ensure that u dont enter data like card no. in any phised site to get cheated…

If the site you are using has a padlock sign in the browser when you are putting in your payment its secure.

I would advise not to use and use it only if its really needed. Open WiFi networks can sometimes be breeding ground for hackers and there is a high chance of compromising your Card details even if that means the site you are using uses Secured HTTP.

I would not in a public place. To easy to run a sniffer on traffic and pick out what is needed.

It is as long as you are on a secure https site, and as long as the site itself is trustworthy. If the website address does not begin with “https”, don’t continue.
