Hi

I just found this online payment and purchase software for paypal:

http://paypal-ipn.com/

I want to create a secure and efficient way for visitors to download stuff form my website after making a paypal payment.

Is this secure? and the best one?

In addition is it worth getting credit card payment processing on my site, which one is the cheapest and securist?

I dont have any knoweldge of ecommerce, so any examples and proven stuff (secure and liked by visitors) with competitive rates would be appreciated.

    Hi, i had a quick look at that site. I use Paypal on ebay and i cannot fault it. I noticed that the site you mentioned is also Microsoft Certified.
    This would actually be enough information for me to make a decision.

    If you want to integrate paypal on your website then the scripts required are availalbe at paypal’s website you do not need to buy anything extra.

    The documents are self explanatory. click on the “Merchen tools” i think and that takes you to the documents.

    Well if you are selling stuff on the internet obviously there is a need to have payment processing.

    However, if you want to use services like worldpay or protx remember you will need to first pay your bank a fee for merchant account and then you will also have to pay for the gateway and the service.

    Threre is a lot of them available and I have used protx. Worldpay is also good but they charge a lot for the intial setup.

    You don’t have to use any software for processing online payments. If you have a paypal account you can create the buttons which will take the user to PayPal website and use their secure servers and after payments the user will be returned on your website.

    I believe this is the best method as the users can use their PayPal Account, Credit Card or any Bank Account to pay for your products and services and most of the users who shop online have PayPal accounts so its more easy for them.
