I sent about $120 to a guy in England for some paintings, via paypal, and he contacted me once, but then not for a long time after that, and the time I could dispute it with paypal passed by.
I contacted Citibank, the card I charged it on, saying I never received the goods. They put me through a huge ordeal just to get the charges reversed. When the charges were reversed, the guy finally contacted me, and sent me the paintings. I called Citibank saying I got the goods, and to please charge me, so they did.
I was nowhere near my limit when I disputed the charge or afterward. I still have the card too.
I received a notice a couple of months later, on my credit monitoring service that the dispute showed up on my credit report, but it didn’t say if it did anything to the score or not.
I’m somewhat worried, because I might need to dispute another charge (it was a duplicate charge) if the vendor doesn’t call and fix that situation.

I keep getting a reoccurring charge on my credit card from a company who i have specifically told to cancel my subscription several times from whom of which i have several cancellation reference numbers, i told my credit card company to stop paying them and they did for one month then they started again…and keep asking me to get more cancellation numbers…
What’s the action of telling your credit card company to stop called? and any advice or help on what i can do about either damn company?

I had a credit card statement of 1000. Within 4 days I get a refund of 200 during the grace period of 15 days. The payment date then follows 11 days later and the credit card company still try to take 1000 – so making my credit card a positive balance – which is not what I want! Can I insist on only paying 800? They then tell me that I will be charged to taking cash out of a positive balanced credit card. Can they do that?

What is stupid is that if I dispute 200 – they will only take 800. Some credit card companies do not do this – but if you stop the direct debit (especially on a charge card) and just pay the actual account balance – then there is no charge.

If I decide to pay my bill in 3 parts for example during the grace period so the total is paid then that is not a problem: as long as the whole amount is paid. Well that is effectively what is happening here – but one part is paid by the refund. How can this be justified?
