What does a shop stop on my credit card online account mean?

1. Never heard about that but usually the $1 is verification amount. For example if you buy gas with your debit card, it will take $1 from your debit but in 2-3 days it will take the full amount from your bank. Then the bank will refund you that $1 into your account.

2. This is probably the amount they initially used for verification. The full amount will show up on your card in the next couple of days.

   Keep an eye on this though, as once we noticed a fuel station had charged this $1 fee 6 times in one day. We notified the bank and they credited the money back to us.
