When did you apply for your Second Credit Card after having your first one?

I am curious because I want to apply for a second credit card when I have had my first one for 6months. In may i would of had my discover card in 6months. So I wanted to know How long was it before you applied for your second credit card and got approved for it. How long of a credit history you need to apply for a another credit card? When I applied for a student discover credit card I had no credit whatsoever.

    Six months is the mark.
    When you get a credit card it lowers your rating for 6 months.
    It is considered new credit.
    So enjoy your new card.

    Remember you can easily get top 800+ scores by using credit wisely.
    Pay in full each month – you never pay interest this way.

    the minimum duration is 6 months
    your rating will be lowered if you get a new card because it comes under the new credit
    you may get referral here

    Two years since my visa served me well. Married and we need a charge card for household
    Check our your credit for free at
    Most cc companies only report every 6 months so you may not have a high enough score yet
