I have an emergency, and cannot think of any other solutions then to try to get a credit card for at least $2500. But I have bad credit and no checking account. I would rather pay off a credit card over time (and have the means to do so) then to not take care of my financial emergency as soon as possible.

    That is not likely. Most banks require at least a checking account and some credit history. You can try borrowing from a finance company, but you will pay a higher interest rate.
